A Cup of Faith and Filipino Grit
This isn’t just a business story; it’s a story about a guy who simply refused to believe that the best things in life—like a truly great cup of coffee—should be out of reach for the everyday Filipino.

CORE Values

Faith-led Stewardship
We call ourselves a Kingdom Business. This means we operate with the belief that we are managers of God’s resources. We lead with integrity, treat our team like family, and let our values guide our balance sheet.
MASTER BEANS

Radical Freshness
We don't believe in "shelf-life." Our Roast-on-Demand promise means your coffee is roasted only after you order. We believe every Filipino deserves to experience coffee at its peak potential.
Filipino Grit and Heritage
Inspired by the "Brain of the Katipunan," Emilio Jacinto, we carry a revolutionary spirit. We are fiercely proud of Philippine Coffee Beans, and we fight to give our local farmers the spotlight they deserve.
Accessible Excellence
Premium shouldn't mean "exclusive." Whether it’s a craft roast from Master Beans or a refreshing cup from Twice Tea, our goal is to provide a high-quality "everyday escape" that is do-able for every budget.

The Heart behind the Hustle
Nico Nanquil didn’t start with a silver spoon; he started as a working student at San Beda College. He knows what it’s like to balance a dream with a tight budget and a long day’s work. Even after years in big corporate offices like Nestle and Unilab, Nico never lost that "working student" spirit—the belief that if you put in the hours and keep your heart right, something good will grow.
Master Beans didn’t start in a boardroom; it started with a simple question: Why can't artisanal Filipino coffee be for everyone?
Our founder, Nico Nanquil, spent years as a working student at San Beda. He learned early on that success isn't about the title on your business card, but the heart you put into your work. After years in the corporate world, he decided to return to his roots—combining the revolutionary spirit of his ancestor, Emilio Jacinto, with a humble mission to serve.
At Master Beans and Twice Tea Cafe, we believe in "Kingdom Business." For us, that means being good stewards of what we’ve been given. It means roasting coffee only when you order it so it’s at its absolute best, and sourcing from local farmers because their success is our success. We’re not just selling drinks; we’re sharing a piece of Filipino resilience and a reminder that with faith, anything is do-able.
A Legacy of Grit and Grace
He’s a husband and a dad first, trying to build a legacy that his family can be proud of. His ancestor, Emilio Jacinto, was the "Brain of the Katipunan," but Nico’s own revolution is a quieter, humbler one: he wants to prove that a Filipino business can be world-class while remaining deeply rooted in kindness and faith.
